Arturia MiniFreak V – Polyphonic Hybrid Softsynth for Mac & Windows

The spontaneous algorithmic softsynth

MiniFreak V is Arturia’s experimental virtual instrument: digital voices fused with modeled analog filters, spontaneous modulation and playful sequencing. It is a 6-voice polyphonic hybrid synth that finds endless sweet spots between the familiar and the unheard — a sound design playground that rewards curiosity.

Dual engines, endless combinations

Two sound engines with 31 oscillator modes give you wavetable, FM, virtual analog, Karplus-Strong and granular sources to combine, layer or cross-modulate. A modeled polyphonic analog filter (lowpass, highpass, bandpass) with resonance and keytracking, plus analog-modeled VCAs, keeps everything sounding rich and alive.

Modulate everything

• Mod Matrix: 7 sources routed to dozens of destinations
• ADSR and cycling envelopes plus 2 LFOs per voice, with custom LFO shapes
• Velocity, aftertouch, macros and MPE for hands-on expression
• Engine 2 can process Engine 1 for even deeper timbres

Built-in sequencer and effects

• 64-step sequencer with 4 automation lanes for evolving patterns
• Arpeggiator with ratcheting, octave distribution and randomization
• 3 FX slots (insert or send) with 13 effects: reverb, delay, distortion, bitcrusher, chorus and more
• 260+ factory presets covering bass, leads, pads, keys and experimental sounds

One sound, hardware or software

MiniFreak V is identical to the MiniFreak hardware instrument: the same presets work in your DAW or on the synth, with full parameter mirroring and real-time control mapping. Every customer receives their own individual license key.
