Eraform Audio Fraction – Multisample Analog Synth Plugin

There is a persistent divide in software instruments between synthesis and sampling. Synthesis gives you infinite tweakability and a sound that, however good the modelling, originates in mathematics. Sampling gives you the actual recorded article. Fraction sits firmly on the sampling side, and deliberately so: Eraform Audio built it with Prototype Audio around multisampled source material, on the reasoning that producers chasing a specific hardware character are better served by recordings of that hardware than by an approximation of it.

Get it at PluginsVST for €49.99 instead of €99.00 – 50% off – with your own license key and a secure download link sent to your email.

Real recordings, playable instrument

Fraction’s character is decided by its source recordings rather than an oscillator algorithm. What the instrument adds on top is the playback and shaping layer – the part that turns a folder of recordings into something playable and musically responsive. The engine reads from the factory expansion content, where the bulk of the library lives; presets address that content, so patch files stay small while the underlying recordings are enormous. The trade-off is disk space – this is a large install by any standard, so check the requirements before buying – but the payoff is tone that no oscillator model quite reaches.

The value case at 50% off

Multisample libraries of this depth usually command premium prices because the recording work is expensive. At €49.99, Fraction costs less than most single-oscillator modelled synths while delivering recorded hardware character across its entire range. If your productions lean on analog tone – thick basses, evolving pads, leads with real weight – this is the cost-effective way to get it. Hassle-free setup, your own license key, and updates provided whenever available.
