Native Instruments Noire

Some pianos fill a hall. Noire fills a room – and then your chest. Native Instruments Noire is a concert grand prepared with felt, recorded so intimately you hear the hammers, the wood, the silence between notes. It is the piano of late-night scores and whispered songs. At PluginsVST it is €29.99 instead of €149.00 – 80% off – with your license key and a secure download link sent to your email.

Felt changes everything

Slipping felt between hammers and strings transforms a grand piano: the attack softens, the overtones darken, every note becomes a small confession. Noire captures this with extraordinary closeness – multiple microphone perspectives let you move from inside the piano to the back of the room, always keeping that unmistakable intimacy.

Two instruments in one

• Pure: the felt piano in its naked glory – deeply sampled, endlessly playable
• Particles: an evolving granular-style engine that turns piano tones into shifting textures
• Intimate, cinematic character out of the box
• Expressive dynamics from barely-there to bold
• Designed for composers, songwriters and ambient producers
• Inspiring interface that stays out of the music’s way

The score-whisperer

Noire has become a quiet standard in film and TV underscore for a reason: it says more with less. A single felt-piano motif carries scenes that would need an orchestra from a brighter piano. If you write to picture – or write songs that need to ache – this is essential colors.

The quiet power of restraint

Noire teaches an old lesson: the notes you don’t play matter most. Its felt piano rewards space – a single motif, left alone, carries more weight than a hundred busy bars. Producers who learn this find their arrangements getting simpler and their tracks getting better. Sometimes the most powerful production move is choosing the right piano and getting out of its way.

Is Noire good for beginners?

Yes – its inspiring tone makes even simple playing sound beautiful, which makes practice addictive.

Can it handle brighter, happier material?

Its character is intimate and moody by design; for sparkling pop piano, pair it with a brighter instrument.
